K-12 National Championship Results!

Congratulations to all of Arizona’s best scholastic chess players who competed in last weekend’s National K-12 Grade Championships in Orlando Florida! There were many top performers — including multiple National Champions! The “short list” — including many regular “Master Trekkers” — is:

  • Eric Qi – 7th Place, 12th Grade
  • Bryan Hu – 1st Place, 10th Grade – Co-National Champion – Bryan Also took clear first in the Blitz Championship Section!
  • Jarod Coulter – 9th Place, 10th Grade
  • Derek Chen – 10th Place, 10th Grade
  • Rohan Mittal – 4th Place, 9th Grade
  • Pranav Rudra – 3rd Place, 8th Grade – Co-National Champion
  • Kendrick Nguyen – 6th Place, 8th Grade
  • Prateek Pinisetti – 4th Place, 7th Grade – Co-National Champion
  • Richard Qi – 2nd Place , 6th Grade
  • Ethan Xie – 12th Place, 6th Grade
  • Chang Xu – 12th Place, 4th Grade
  • Kevin Chor – 9th Place, 2nd Grade
  • Justin Friedlander – 9th Place, 1st Grade
