Happy New Year and AZ State Grades!

Posted: January 2nd, 2014 by Daniel Rensch

Happy New Year Arizona!

We hope 2014 holds many great experiences for everyone both on and off the chess board! Maybe some rating points too?

IM Danny Rensch will be attending the Arizona State Grades in Tucson on behalf of ChessKid.com! He will be offering FREE trial memberships in honor of the first big event of the year! If you are a coach (or parent) come by and see him and his team as they offer free game review in addition to displaying the ChessKid site!

A message about registering from organizer Robby Adamson is below the Chess World Update! I encourage everyone to sign up and come by to see the ChessKid booth.

Dear Chess Coaches,

This is Robby Adamson, the organizer of the 2014 Arizona State Grade Chess Championships, to be held in Tucson at Sonoran Science Academy on January 11, 2014.

I wanted to let you all know about the event, as well as pass along both the PDF for the main tournament and the PDF for the blitz tournament to be held on January 10 (Friday evening). Both PDFs are attached to this email.

Here is the link to the site that has all information about the event, as well as the online registration: http://www.events4chess.com/events.php?event_ID=439

A limited number of team rooms will be available at the site. If you are interested in more details about team room sizing and cost, please email Amanda Mateer, who is coordinating team rooms at amateer@email.arizona.edu.

Please pass this info along to students. The early entry fee deadline is January 4. We hope you and your students can join us for this great event!

Let me know if you have any questions!
