Chess for Charity and Update

Posted: February 16th, 2014 by Daniel Rensch

Dear Arizona,

On March 23rd, Bennett Katz and company will be hosting an amazing event: A Chess Tournament to benefit the underprivileged!

The full details can be found at their website here, and all proceeds will help develop chess programs for less fortunate children. Bennett will distribute the funds in the form of chess supplies and coaching to UMOM’s transitional homeless shelter’s resident youth (ages 6-18) and a less fortunate school in Ramat-Gan, Israel, a sister city of Phoenix, via the Etude Chess Club.

American Chess Events LLC, Chess.com LLC and ChessKid.com will all be supporting the event with different forms of donation, and we encourage everyone (both chess player and non-chess player alike) to come out in support of Bennett’s cause! Please click here for the PDF / Flyer of the event, or find registration information at their website: AZChessForCharity.com
