Dear Arizona Chess-

At the halfway mark of the 2009-2010 “Race for the Cup” (and full ride trip to Nationals!!!) the Grand Prix Cup Standings are as follows:

2000+ Section: 1st place — Eric Qi 14 Points!
1700-1999 Section: 1st place — Daniel Braynt 20 Points!
1400-1699 Section: 1st Place — Michael Prem 14 Points!
1000-1399 Section: 1st Place — Rachael Eng 9 Points!
500-999 Section: 1st Place Tie: Zac Smith and Stanley Wang with 10 Points!

American Chess Events LLC would like to congratulate Kevin Zhang for becoming Arizona’s newest National Master.
