Strategy Session Mission
The mission of American Chess Events is to encourage and support chess instruction at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels. Our program teaches an understanding of fundamental rules, tactics, and strategies for the beginning player, and, for the more advanced player, it provides a homogeneous, integrated approach to the game.

GM Alejandro Ramirez
GM Alejandro Ramirez: Alejandro Ramirez earned the title of Grand Master at the age of 15! He is the highest rated player from the country of Costa Rica. His accomplishments are numerous, and they include: Winner of the New York International; Winner of the Morelia Open; 3-time Olympiad Participant. Alejandro has been teaching high-level chess for over 5 years. He is currently a member of the Arizona Scorpions U.S. Chess League team, and he lead them to their first ever playoff appearance last December (2009).
When & Where:
Session #1 for Intermediate Players — Sunday, March 7th. 10am-12pm. Unity Chess Club: 14362 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. Scottsdale AZ 85260 in Beach Conference Room by the Mini Golf Course. Cost, $40. Registration below.
Session #2 for Advanced Players — Sunday, March 7th. Location, 845 E. 7th St. Mesa, Arizona 85203. Time, 1pm-4pm. Registration open to 1600+ Rated Players only. Cost, $50. Registration below.
