We give our congratulations to the entire Katz family and we can only *hope* they will make ArizonaChess4Charity a regular thing! Visit their website and make a donation (it’s not too late).

If you missed Sunday’s spectacle, there is a chance at redemption.

Chess Enthusiast and Philanthropist, Dr Norm Saba, is holding an event for charity at the Cardon Children’s Medical Center this Saturday… and guess who’s attending? GM Barcenilla AND IM Rensch! Food, fun, simuls, blindfold chess, etc, etc, etc

Chess for Charity!

Posted: March 10th, 2014 by Daniel Rensch

Dear Arizona,

On March 23rd, Arizona Chess for Charity will hold its first ever event – providing an “open door” tournament format, designed to cater to both USCF and non-USCF Members alike!

The top section will feature IM Danny Rensch along with several other chess experts, while the “Unrated Section” will be full of many newcomers to the game, looking for a casual way to get involved in tournament chess. So come play, bring your family and friends who may NOT know much about chess, and support a great cause!
